English and Maths Skills for Life courses, from pre - entry level (complete beginners) to Entry Level are available in community venues.
- Functional Skills qualifications in English and Maths are available at Level 1 and 2
- English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) is available from pre-entry to Level 2. There will be a small charge for ESOL programmes unless you are entitled to fee remission.

- Health and Lifestyle: eg Aerobics, Dance, Keep Fit
- Languages: eg Arabic, French, Spanish
- History or Local History
- Preparation for Life and Work: eg Independent Living Skills, Personal Budgeting, Preparation for Citizenship, Work Readiness.
