Sheaf Discovery Programme

This programme offers a supportive and nurturing environment for students to explore their next steps of education, employment, or training. Designed to offer an enriching experience of academic tasks, experience of work and well-being activities, this programme offers students opportunities to learn skills for life, through a traditional model of delivery with ambitious content for those not quite ready for mainstream education. Due to the educational isolation they may have previously experienced the design has specially been crafted using differentiated classroom activities which develop students personally and academically. Staff will enable students to recognise their own strengths and values and offer a safe space to grow their personalities and realise their potential. The course will provide an exploration of real-life issues that prepare students for life in modern Britain. Supported by experienced, enthusiastic and dedicated staff, students will have access to a provision which holistically breaks down their barriers to learning, develops confidence in a group work setting and enables students to access to further education, employment or training.
