Springboard Programme
The Springboard Programme is designed for SEND students with Education Health and Care Plans and support from Social Care providers outside of their academic timetable. Springboard applicants are between 16-19 years old, and consistently working at p8 minimum assessed level, and a realistic aim to extend academically to the Sheaf Personal Progress course levels the following year (Entry 1 level).
Springboard students are already capable of rationalising and communicating their interests and choices to others, and now want to understand the wider world around them.
They will be able access college for full, focussed days, with independence in the safe Sheaf environment.
With Tutors, Mentors, specialist input from our Speech and Language Therapist and onsite counsellors, students will work towards an ASDAN Award in Personal Progress, and prepare for ongoing education with Sheaf College to maximise their potential.
