Care (Health and Social Care/Early Years/Childcare) Programme
This programme will provide a springboard towards mainstream provision and a taste of working within the care industries. Students will be provided with an opportunity to gain an understanding of the health and social care, early years and child care sector requirements and the respective professional responsibilities. Students will learn about various roles within care and develop an overview of safeguarding, principles and values, human and early years development, promoting healthy lifestyles, along with a varied enrichment programme, access to work experience, sector visits, guest speakers and will access work related mathematics and English and a supportive tutorial programme within their curriculum offer. Students will gain knowledge, understanding and skills required for employment, providing opportunities for the development of transferable skills and supporting progression to further learning opportunities with external providers, employers or apprenticeship routes.
