Brickwork Programme

This programme will provide students with a foundation level qualification in the skills required within the brickwork industry. Students will develop a good of understanding of safe working practice and the health and safety requirements within the construction sector and will be able to prepare and construct a variety of brick wall types, mixing mortar and disposing of waste in a safe and sustainable manner. The programme aims to provide a range of employability and personal development experiences in a primarily outdoor setting. Students will undergo relevant work experience which will relate directly to their work based or voluntary requirements. Alongside this will run an enrichment and work-related tutorial offer that prepares a robust work ethic.
