Course Description

Social Enterprise Programm

This programme provides an opportunity to see how a business is run by joining us on a social enterprise course where students will support the operations of our new garden centre hub. Students may be involved in creating items to sell using crafts such as art and craft, basic construction (painting and decoration, woodwork and construction skills) or growing items using our state-of-the-art land-based facilities. Students will learn key skills surrounding business and employability that will enable them to move onto the next learning level, get a job or a voluntary work opportunity. The programme will include visits to local start-ups who have made a success, as well as guest speakers from bank personnel and dedicated officers who are able to give advice on starting a business.
